Project Management Engineer

Reports To: Managing Director

Job Descriptions:

  • Position requires a thorough knowledge of electrical design and engineering techniques, as well as CADand graphics skills.
  • Responsible to plan and conduct independent work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, application, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures leading to successful implementation and development of new series/types/products.
  • Devise new approaches to problems, and prepare or modify drawings, specifications, calculations, charts, and graphs, and monitor work for compliance to applicable codes, accepted engineering practice.

Typical Duties:

Typical duties will include but not be limited to the preparation and/or modification of the following:

  • Electrical drawings, specifications, calculations, charts, and graphs.
  • Perform Hands-on wiring and proto testing not limited to fabrication of testing jigs and equipment
  • Project controls, cost estimates, quantity takeoffs and manpower requirements for proposals, forecast.

Essential Functions:

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Requires a broad knowledge of precedents in the specialty area and a solid knowledge of principle sand practices of related technical areas.
  • Performs assignments independently with instruction as to the general results expected and with guidance from Managing Director and or engineering specialist/consultant on unusual or complex problems.
  • Assumes the lead engineer’s role on assigned projects.
  • May serve as Project Engineer and as a designated Client contact on smaller, less complex projects.
  • Plans, schedules, conducts, and coordinate program of assigned engineering work and projects.
  • Assists in selection of discipline personnel assigned to projects.
  • Ensures proper interdisciplinary coordination and effective communication on projects.
  • Analyzes reports, maps, drawings, tests, and other data to plan and design work.
  • Uses engineering and design computer software to complete assigned work.

Education/ Experience:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering. During the interview, candidates need to show strong mathematical and electrical engineering concepts understanding with specialization in Power Electronics.
  • 2 years working experience
  • Must demonstrate fluency in English Language for both oral and written communications skills
  • Needs to be skilled in preparing power points for presentation purposes
  • Able to work independently
  • Excellent in handling inter-departmental relationships
  • Possesses Auto CAD familiarity.
  • Experience in working with multiple discipline projects involving LED/Solar/Power Factor Correction Equipment is an added advantage
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Suite
